Clippy's grandkid Mico gets yeeted from Copilot
Remember Mico, the cheerful yellow blob Microsoft gave Copilot last October to make the chatbot feel less robotic? It's getting benched. Microsoft confirmed Mico is leaving Copilot's voice mode and moving to its Learn Live tutoring tool instead, rolling out "in waves." It's the latest casualty in Microsoft's graveyard of virtual sidekicks, joining Clippy, Cortana, and Rover, and comes as the company merges its Copilot and Microsoft 365 Copilot apps into one under new AI lead Jacob Andreou.
