GTA VI preorders are here, but good luck finding a disc
Rockstar just opened preorders for GTA VI on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, priced at $79.99 for standard and $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition, but it's digital code only, no physical box on shelves. It's the latest sign AAA gaming is quietly killing the disc, even for the industry's biggest release in over a decade. The game, following Jason and Lucia through a crime spree in Vice City, is now slated for November 19, 2026, after two delays and accusations of union busting along the way.
Nothing says 'next-gen' like paying full price for a code you can't even resell.
