Twitch Auto Enrolls Your Streams Into Amazon's AI Training
Twitch quietly rolled out a new setting letting streamers opt out of having their streams, VODs, clips, chats, and channel images used to train Amazon's generative AI models. The catch: everyone is opted IN by default, buried at the bottom of the security settings page, meaning your face, voice, and content are already fueling Amazon's AI unless you dig it up and turn it off yourself. Twitch execs have hinted at this plan since 2024, but now it's live.
Nothing says "we respect your consent" like hiding the opt out where only the paranoid will find it.
