Hugging Face, the GitHub-for-AI-models site that briefly went viral after an OpenAI model tried to attack it, is reportedly testing the acquisition waters with a $13 billion price tag, per Business Insider. That's nearly triple its last official valuation of $4.5 billion in 2023, and way more than the $7 billion Nvidia once offered (an offer Hugging Face turned down). No bank or buyer is confirmed yet, but the timing right after its unexpected fame moment looks anything but accidental.
