This 21 Year Old Turned High School Ragers Into an App Empire
Jack Schwartz started throwing legendary LA parties at 14 and by 21 turned that hustle into MyPlots, a ticketing and party-promotion app now boasting over a million users, mostly teens and twentysomethings. The app lets hosts sell tickets, target repeat guests, and take a 20 percent cut, and it's already elbowing out rival Partiful as LA's go-to nightlife app. Officially you need to be 18 to join, but Schwartz admits kids find workarounds, and Stripe lets 13-year-olds in with a parent's help.
Nothing says startup success like a teenager flashing $27,500 cash and calling it 'disruption'.
