Xbox CEO's reset memo: fewer studios, bigger dreams
Months after Xbox laid off thousands of workers and spun off four studios, new CEO Asha Sharma sent staff a memo obtained by The Verge laying out four priorities for fiscal 2027, core, content, creation and community, with a promise to return Xbox to "player and revenue growth" and industry average profits by next June. She also reiterated an eyebrow raising ambition first floated earlier this year: making Xbox one of the few companies on Earth that entertains more than a billion people daily. Bold words for a brand that just got smaller.
Nothing says "we're growing" like laying off thousands of people and dreaming bigger than Disney.
