OpenAI's super PAC has a news site, and its reporters are bots
A watchdog investigator got a pitch email from a 'reporter' named Michael Chen at a site called Acutus, but Chen doesn't exist and neither does any human staff there. Of 94 articles published since December, AI detectors flagged 69 percent as fully machine written, complete with a hidden editorial dashboard instructing an 'AI interviewer' what questions to ask. The site has been linked to Targeted Victory, the firm behind OpenAI's $125 million political operation, and has run pieces attacking AI industry critics. It's the second such tie this month.
Nothing says 'trust the process' like a newsroom that runs on vibes and a GPU.
