Over 60 current and former Anthropic staffers have signed the '10% Pledge' to donate income, and all seven of the company's founders vowed to give away 80% of their fortunes. Donations through Giving What We Can jumped from $1.2 billion in 2024 to $2 billion in 2025, and analysts predict Anthropic's IPO alone could add $15 billion a year to US charitable giving.
Nothing says 'we feel bad about building potentially world-ending tech' like a really generous tithe.
