Instagram's first logo change in a decade already has a meme problem
Instagram just swapped its iconic cursive wordmark for a half-cursive, half-print redesign, the first change to its logo in ten years. Head Adam Mosseri called it "cleaner and more modern" and posted it to Threads himself to gauge reactions, and boy did he get them: commenters immediately pointed out the new lettering is barely legible and reads more like "Instagzam" than Instagram. It's a small design tweak, but for an app with two billion users, even a font change becomes a referendum on whether Meta still gets its own brand.
Nothing says "innovation" like making your logo harder to read.
