SpaceX just officially closed its $60 billion acquisition of Cursor, the AI coding startup beloved by developers everywhere. The deal, first floated in April, makes Cursor the newest addition to Musk's empire alongside xAI, giving it access to what Cursor calls "the largest fleet of GPUs in the world," the same infrastructure SpaceX already rents out to Anthropic and Google. Translation: rocket fuel and AI compute are now the same business, and Musk just bought his way deeper into the coding tools that power Silicon Valley's app factories.
