Musk to Cursor Staff: I'm Not Used to Losing
Elon Musk just bought Cursor for $60 billion through SpaceX, and per The Information, his first all hands with the coding startup's staff was less pep talk, more confession. He reportedly admitted Grok isn't the leader in its market and "desperately needs to catch up," framing the buy as a rescue mission after xAI fell behind OpenAI and Anthropic. He even praised Anthropic's Claude, the same tool xAI staffers apparently preferred over their own model.
Nothing says confidence like buying a company to fix the thing you built.
