Zuckerberg's AI utopia essay is landing with a thud
Mark Zuckerberg dropped a 6,500 word manifesto called 'The Future Is for Everyone,' promising a world where everyone gets an 'exceptionally capable personal agent' that knows your goals and has your back. Cute, except critics (including TechCrunch's own staff) point out he said basically the same thing about social media once, and we got ragebait and ads instead of connection. With Meta trailing in the AI race, this reads less like a roadmap and more like a rebrand.
Forgive us for not trusting the guy who promised connection and delivered an ad engine with a mirror attached.
